“We are set for the quartet of semifinalist”—Dinesh Karthik suggests that India would lead the group stage prior to the elimination round.

"It could be a tournament where it has been decided early, and it looks more likely that will be the case unless something extraordinary happens," remarked Dinesh Karthik.

"We are set for the quartet of semifinalist"—Dinesh Karthik suggests that India would lead the group stage prior to the elimination round.

The way that Team India is performing in the current ODI World Cup 2023 says a lot. The Men in Blue, under Rohit Sharma‘s leadership, had not lost a game at the prestigious competition. India has participated in six games of the tournament thus far, winning each one handily and demonstrating their seriousness.

With six wins and 12 points at the top of the group, all supporters anticipate that their team will advance to the tournament’s knockout stages and, ideally, win the championship. Regarding the team’s performance, seasoned batsman and wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik stated that the top four spots in the competition are already guaranteed.

“I believe that after this victory and Australia’s victory against New Zealand yesterday, we are guaranteed a spot in the four semifinals. Unless something spectacular happens, which I personally don’t think will happen, it looks more likely that this tournament would be one in which everything has been determined early, Dinesh Karthik told the ICC.

In addition, Dinesh Karthik hinted that India will win given their current form by saying that now that the four semi-finalists are assured, the only question left to answer is who will place two, three, and four in the standings.

“We already know who will rank No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 among the four semi-finalists. It will be a matter of who will be playing India and who ranks second and third as I believe we already know who will be ranked first. Dinesh Karthik stated, “It’s not arrogance; it’s just the caliber of cricket they’re playing.

Team India will play Sri Lanka in the World Cup’s 33rd match as their next assignment. On Thursday, November 2, at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, both teams will be in the spotlight.
