Ian Bishop scolds an X user for making a false allegation about Babar Azam. "Stop that nonsense bro, please."

Ian Bishop, however, answered right away, insisting that he never said anything of the sort and asking people to cease disseminating misleading information.

At the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Pakistan and New Zealand are currently playing in the 35th match of the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. Pakistan chose to bowl first after winning the toss. Rachin Ravindra’s 108 and Kane Williamson’s 95 helped New Zealand to a commanding 401 before some useful lower-order contributions from Mitchell Santner, Daryll Mitchell, Mark Chapman, and Glenn Phillips.

Pakistan suffered early on in their chase when they lost Abdullah Shafique, but Fakhar Zaman played well, hitting a century in just 63 balls. Babar Azam, the skipper, was also criticized for his poor batting display. In the middle of it all, an X user said that Ian Bishop questioned Babar’s approach live, questioning whether he put himself and his standing in the ICC rankings ahead of the requirements of the team.

Is Babar attempting to maintain his top ranking? Their goal is 400 runs. A single batsman cannot score the runs. He is at least capable of using a 100 SR. He should, for once, put the good of his country above himself. A captain would find this embarrassing. Is Fakhar using a different surface when playing? According to the X user, Ian Bishop said.

Ian Bishop in the commentary said, “Is Babar playing for his No.1 ranking? They are chasing 400 runs. One batsman cannot make all the runs. He can at least play with a 100 SR. For once, he should put his country first before himself. This is embarrassing for a captain. Is Fakhar… pic.twitter.com/3j1MLm2gRj

Rachin Ravindra’s genius helps the Kiwis score 400 runs:

New Zealand made a great start to the game thanks to a magnificent century from Ravindra, who smashed 108 runs off only 94 balls, including 15 fours and one six. After a protracted injury, Captain Williamson too made an impressive recovery, scoring 95 runs off 79 balls with ten fours and two sixes.

Mark Chapman and Glenn Phillips contributed significantly toward the end of their inning, making short cameos to help their team score a huge 401 runs. Phillips contributed 41 runs off 27 balls with four fours and two sixes, while Chapman scored 39 runs off 25 balls with seven fours. The remaining batters for New Zealand, including as Mitchell Santner and Daryl Mitchell, also contributed significantly to the team’s 400-run total.
