The Afghanistan cricket team was in Mumbai for their World Cup 2023 match against Australia when former India cricketer Irfan Pathan sent them an invitation. He invited prominent players like Yusuf Pathan, Rashid Khan, and Naveen-Ul-Haq, along with their older brother, to dinner at his house. Famous people like the late Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty and Indian musician Adnan Sami also graced the Irfan Pathan home.

Prominent personalities such as Indian singer Adnan Sami, Bollywood stars Sunil Shetty and Subhash Ghai, Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh, former South African cricketer Imran Tahir, and Afghanistan’s batting coach were present at the event.
Afghanistan has had an incredible World Cup campaign, winning four games. With one fewer match played, they are currently in control of their destiny as they are tied for the same number of points with Pakistan and New Zealand. Afghanistan will play their final match of the campaign on November 10 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium against the formidable South African side, following their ongoing match against Australia.
