Mohammed Shami, a fast bowler from India, has been smashing records in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, becoming the team’s top wicket-taker from India. After Hardik Pandya’s injury, Shami, who had warmed up on the bench in the first four games, was added to the starting lineup and has since dominated the competition. In just four innings, the 33-year-old has claimed 16 wickets at an economy of 4.30 and an average of 7.
Hasin Jahan, Shami’s estranged wife, was recently asked to comment on his ex-husband’s outstanding World Cup performance during an interview with a TV program.
“I am not a fan of cricket players, nor do I watch the sport. I don’t know about his performance because I don’t comprehend the game. His ability to play and perform well will help him earn more money, which will ensure our future, as well as help him maintain his spot on the squad. Thus, nothing compares to it, Hasin Jahan was cited by News Nation as stating.
When asked again to send his best wishes for the current World Cup to Mohammed Shami and the Indian squad, Jahan responded that she could only send her best wishes for India, not for him.
She went on, “I will definitely wish team India the best, but not him.”
Vo zyada kamayega to hamara bhavishya secure hoga. Team India ko best wishes de sakti hu #shami ko nahi de sakti…..

Notably, Hasin Jahan filed a police case in Jadavpur in 2018 accusing Shami of adultery and domestic abuse. She even said that the cricket player had engaged in match-fixing. The quick bowler, nevertheless, refuted every accusation made against him and is still battling the divorce in court.
The Kolkata High Court mandated earlier this year that Shami give maintenance to Hasin Jahan in the amount of INR 50,000 per month and pay INR 80,000 for his daughter.
Mohammed Shami surpassed all previous Indian wicket-takers in the history of the ODI World Cup.
