Coworkers Sneh Rana and Pooja Vastrakar met tragically on the field at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai during the second ODI between Australia and India. After early errors in fielding, the Women in Blue were attempting to restrict the Australians.
Meanwhile, Beth Mooney’s well-executed shot in the 25th over caused Vastrakar at point and Rana at backward point to collide. The two all-round players were injured and needed to be seen right away. Rana was clearly upset and had to leave the field after receiving treatment and applying an ice pack, even though Vastrakar seemed unscathed.
