For the 2023 World Test Championship final match against Australia, Ajinkya Rahane was called up when Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul were unavailable for selection. But Ajinkya Rahan isn’t prepared to give up just yet. The seasoned hitter shared his aspirations, saying he wanted to play 100 Test matches for his nation. Notably, in 85 Test matches played so far, the 35-year-old has scored 5077 runs at an average of 38.46 while representing India. He also discussed his objective for the current season, which is to win the Ranji Trophy.
“One game at a time, I want Mumbai to do well. The Hindustan Times cited Rahane as saying, “The goal is to win the Ranji Trophy, and the bigger goal is to play 100 Test matches.”
