The successful sale of Alyssa Healy and Mitchell Starc’s North Curl Curl property on Tuesday, February 13, has made headlines in the world of Australian cricket. Days before its planned auction this weekend, the five-bedroom property finally changed hands after earlier failing to find a buyer at a higher price.
Renowned architect Koichi Takada created the North Curl Curl residence for developer Jennifer Hawkins, a former Miss Universe, and her builder husband Jake Wall. The property was first marketed for an impressive $9 million last year. But when it was put up for auction in November 2023, no one placed a bid. Not to be defeated, the power couple in cricket changed their plans and called in real estate brokers Michael Clarke and James Eyden from Clarke & Humel Property.
The property attracted a lot of interest, with a revised suggested price of $8 million. According to Nine.com.au, the final sale price was probably close to $8.5 million, which was significantly more than the guidance.
According to rumors, Mitchell Starc and Alyssa Healy are relocating to Terrey Hills’ Charlotte Park estate.
This is a follow-up to their incredible acquisition of the estate from Simone and Darren Mills, co-founders of the upscale home-building company Cadence, last year, for an astonishing $24.5 million.
Notably, Starc has seen a significant increase in value recently. The speedster broke all previous records when the Kolkata Knight Riders acquired him at the Indian Premier League auction in December for INR 24.75 crore ($4.42 million). However, with Meg Lanning’s retirement from international cricket, Healy took over as captain of the Australian squad.
Conversely, Steve Smith just sold his designer Bronte mansion, similar to Starc and Healy. It is said that he made $6.7 million from the deal.
Healy will next play for UP Warriorz in the Women’s Premier League’s second season in India, and Starc will play for Australia in the series against New Zealand.
