With a decisive win in Rajkot, India has seized a commanding 2-1 lead over England in the current five-match Test series. The team’s incredible 434-run victory and their assurance that they can succeed on any field, including rank-turners, were discussed by captain Rohit Sharma.

“The curators make the selection and offer. We possess the strength to win on whichever wicket we choose to play on. Everyone is aware of the type of wicket we used to win the Test match in South Africa (at Cape Town),” Rohit Sharma continued.
Rohit emphasized how adaptable the club was to the different types of pitches they saw during the series. From a low-bounce surface in Visakhapatnam to a spinning track in Hyderabad, and now to a turning yet unpredictable surface in Rajkot.
“There were various hurdles in the last three tests we played. The ball was spinning and the pitch was slow in the first test (Hyderabad). It was staying low in Vizag. The wicket grew slower as the game went on. Here, for the first three days, it performed admirably. We saw that the ball was low and spinning today. Pitch formats are similar to this; we receive pitches similar to this in India. However, we will also play on rank-turners,” the Indian captain stated.
“He is very aware of his strategy,” Rohit Sharma says of Ravindra Jadeja.
The Indian captain acknowledged Ravindra Jadeja, who bowled a match-winning spell and scored a century. In addition to complimenting the southpaw’s awareness of the local conditions, Rohit voiced faith in younger players such as Sarfaraz Khan.
“We’ve observed him over the years; he has a great understanding of the circumstances. He is fully aware of his strategy. He is not any different here. Since this is his hometown, he is the one who is most familiar with these conditions. Sarfaraz Bat hasn’t been around for a while.
