MS Dhoni declared that he would get knee surgery and make a decision on his cricket career after winning the 2023 Indian Premier League. The CSK captain’s participation in the 2024 Indian Premier League was subsequently confirmed, but his future after that remains unclear. In relation to this, Deepak Chahar stated that Dhoni is healthy enough to play for a minimum of the next two years.
Chahar mentioned how Dhoni hit huge sixes against elite pacers in the previous edition and that he was still doing it in the nets. The stumper-batter also disclosed that he will make a decision regarding his future following the next IPL, which is scheduled to start on March 22 at M Chidambaram Stadium with CSK playing Royal Challengers Bangalore.
“When you feel that 140 kmph is too fast, you retire in the 20s.” In a video posted on Aakash Chopra’s YouTube channel, Chahar stated, “You see how MS Dhoni hit sixes against 145 kmph last year and we see that in the nets as well.” This year, he’ll play. This season, I believe, he will make a decision. Personally, I believe he has two more years of playing.”
Later in the week, MS Dhoni is anticipated to report to the CSK camp.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant invited him to their pre-wedding celebration, and he is said to have returned to Ranchi.
During the pre-wedding festivities, the well-known cricket player was observed playing Dandiya alongside Dwayne Bravo and his spouse Sakshi. Apart from that, he was also spotted striking a pose with director Atlee and actor Ram Charan.
On the other side, Dhoni just announced a “new role” in the impending IPL in a status update on his Facebook page. Though he hasn’t disclosed any information, considering his past performance, it may be an advertising campaign.
