Hardik Pandya, the captain of the Mumbai Indians (MI), recently talked about the unfavorable remarks made by the supporters when he assumed the position of leader. Hardik rejoined MI after a high-profile trade with the Gujarat Titans, and he was appointed captain, taking over from Rohit Sharma, who had captained the team for the previous ten years and helped them win five titles that tied a record.
The team’s new captain said he is not able to manage the negative response and emotion of the supporters, but he does understand it. To produce the finest performance on the field, the 30-year-old said, he focuses mostly on his sport.
“I can see why supporters are upset. But the sport is my main concern. What I can control, I control. I don’t give attention to external factors. I’m appreciative of my followers. They are the source of much affection, recognition, and celebrity. Speaking at the preseason press conference alongside head coach March Boucher, Hardik stated, “They have every right and I respect their opinion.”
