On Tuesday, March 19, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, India’s and Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) star batsman Virat Kohli took part in his first practice session in two months. Notably, Kohli had taken a leave of absence from cricket prior to the England Test series, which lasted five matches, in order to accompany his Bollywood actress wife Anushka Sharma to the birth of their second child, named Akaay.
After arriving back in India a few days ago from London, the great batsman finally joined the RCB team on Monday, March 18. Fans witnessed Kohli batting and playing some mouthwatering smashes in the nets after two exhausting months.
Virat Kohli played a slog sweep after using his feet to go inside-out against a left-arm spinner.

With a strike rate of 139.82 and an average of 53.25 from 14 innings in 2023, Kohli will be particularly keen to repeat his outstanding success in the future season. With seven hundred and fifty fifties to his credit, the 35-year-old is the tournament’s all-time top scorer, with 7263 runs from 229 innings at an average of 37.24 and a strike rate of 130.02.
The 2016 season saw the former captain of the Royals of Cricket break numerous records, including four hundred and seven fifties, while amassing 973 runs from 16 innings at an average of 81.08 and a strike rate of 152.03. With another record-breaking season at bat, the 35-year-old will be hoping to help RCB finally break their 16-year IPL trophy drought in the next edition.
