This week will see the start of the much-awaited Indian Premier League (IPL), with the reigning champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) getting ready to take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the opening game on Friday at MA Chidambaram Stadium.
The Loksabha Election 2024 has prompted the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to release a partial schedule, which includes 21 matches slated for March 22–April 7. Just before the ICC World T20 2024 in the United States and the Caribbean, the IPL 2024 grand finale is scheduled for May 26.
IPL 2024 will begin with a season opener at 8 p.m. IST, with successive matches beginning at 7:30 p.m. The day match will start at 3:30 PM on doubleheader days.
CSK’s home game against Chennai in the opening encounter promises to be an exciting one. Next up on the schedule are the games against the Delhi Capitals (DC) in Mohali on March 23 and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) vs. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Kolkata on March 23.
