Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) Match 10 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is scheduled for Friday, March 29 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
After winning the toss, KKR captain Shreyas Iyer asked the potent batting lineup of RCB to bat first. Since Virat Kohli and KKR coach Gautam Gambhir had previously clashed, many anticipated that this game would be a face-off between them.
But to everyone’s astonishment, during the tactical stoppage, Kohli and Gambhir were seen cuddling up for a heartfelt hug. Gambhir was walking out to the middle to review his team’s strategies when the incident happened at the end of the 16th over. He reconnected with his old India teammate at the pitch, and they had a touching exchange.

Notably, during IPL 2023 Match 43 between Lucknow Super Giants and RCB, both Kohli and Gambhir got into a heated argument. The LSG mentor at the time, Gambhir, was displeased with the RCB player’s jab at LSG seamer Naveen ul Haq during the match, so he challenged the star batter to a face-off.
The incident became widely publicised right away, putting pressure on the BCCI to punish all those involved and fine both Kohli and Gambhir 100% of their match fees. Earlier in the 2013 season, when RCB was playing KKR and Kohli was captaining RCB, Gambhir, the KKR captain, gave him a send-off. This led to a heated exchange between the two players.

The scenes amid the ongoing argument, however, give the impression that the two have forgotten their differences and moved on. Kohli, meanwhile, maintained his excellent form in the IPL 2024 by hitting a fantastic 83* (59) against KKR. In the 20 overs that they were given, RCB amassed a respectable score of 182/6 thanks to his knock.
