The five-time champion Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their opening home game of the season following two straight losses. For their second match, the Hardik-Pandya-led team travelled to Hyderabad following a close loss to the Gujarat Titans in their first game. Numerous records were broken during the record-breaking game. The MI batsmen demonstrated their intent when they batted in the second inning, despite the fact that the bowlers had a difficult day.
MI almost missed the mark by 31 runs despite putting up a strong fight.
The Royals, the team that won the inaugural season, are off to a great start this year. The Sanju-led team is ready for their first away game after winning their last two games in a row at home.
In their first matchup with the Lucknow Super Giants, the RR captain led from the front and won Player of the Match for his outstanding batting display. In their second encounter against the Delhi Capitals, RR applied constant pressure and prevailed by a score of 12 runs.
