The talented 21-year-old fast bowler Mayank Yadav has declared his entry into the Indian Premier League. During the Punjab Kings’ run chase against the Lucknow Super Giants, the Delhi pacer made his IPL debut with a stunning spell of 3/27. LSG won the game by 21 runs as they defended 199 thanks to his quickness and accuracy, which left hitters scrambling.
Mayank Yadav worked hard for several years, and his dream debut was the result. “I had been picturing my debut, how my first ball would be, and how I’d manage myself with the ball in front of such huge crowds for the last year and a half,” Mayank stated during the press conference following the game.
In the tenth over, after Punjab’s openers Bairstow and Dhawan were on a high note at 88/0, stand-in skipper Nicholas Pooran brought him on. It was a master class in fast bowling.
Mayank Yadav: I adore speed.
Yadav, who regularly hits the speed of over 145 kmph, lost his first over for 10 runs but took the dangerous Bairstow for 42 with his fourth delivery of the second over. After removing Prabhsimran Singh in his third over, he hit gold, helping Punjab fall from 102/0 to 128/2.
After he removed Jitesh Sharma from the game, Yadav’s explosive stint came to an end, bringing Punjab to 139/3. Despite the optimism Punjab had for Liam Livingstone, Yadav’s relentless punches solidified LSG’s hold on the team.

“In life in general, as much as in cricket, I adore speed. Be it a superbike, rocket, or aircraft,. He said, “I love speed, so.”
With his ideal debut, the child was overjoyed. Everyone warned me that I would feel anxious and under pressure, but I really didn’t. I instantly felt like I belonged when my captain handed me the ball, and there was a lot of confidence,” he remarked.
Regarding the assistance from the coaching team, he stated, “Morne (Morkel) and JL (Justin Langer) never gave me instructions on what to work with. They are aware of how well I pace difficult lengths. They merely advised me to attack the stumps as much as possible, bowl quickly on difficult lengths, and keep my ideas basic.”
Punjab lost by 21 runs as Yadav’s 3/27 proved to be the difference between the two teams. The right-armer made his debut as Player of the Match thanks to his impressive stats. The dramatic performance of the debutant even surprised Sanjay Bangar, Head of Cricket Development at the Punjab Kings.
“We got off to a great start, and I have to give credit to Mayank Yadav for coming in and shattering the back of our batting.” The lengths he bowled made it difficult, and he bowled quickly,” he said.
