Monday, April 15, witnessed the 30th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. After an incredible batting display by SRH, the match wrote history as the visitors amassed 287 runs in the opening inning.
After the match, Hyderabad’s skipper, Pat Cummins, walked the field and talked about how there were moments when he wished he was a batter. The objective saw SRH upset RCB by 25 runs as well.
In response to another question about whether bowlers will become extinct in a few years as a result of these pitches and hitters’ performances, Cummins, the legendary pacer, said he still had a few years left in him.
It seems like I would want to be a batter. After the incident against Mumbai a few weeks ago, I wasn’t sure it would happen again, but it did. If bowlers go extinct, please give me a few more years! During the post-game awards ceremony, Cummins remarked, “It feels like you bowl an over for seven or eight, which feels great.”

The famous SRH captain also praised the mindset his hitters bring to every game, saying that even with the pitch’s unpredictability, the players are able to adjust and still keep a happy vibe in the camp.
“My attempt to read the pitches has been abandoned. We are very pleased with our cricket; we have won four games so far. The hitters’ freedom to play is excellent, and a few cunning bowlers are also contributing to our success,” Cummins remarked.

It is noteworthy that RCB nearly reached the target of 25 runs but was unable to complete the chase. Hyderabad’s victory moves them up to fourth in the IPL 2024 standings. After four wins and two losses, SRH now has eight points.
With just two points from seven games, RCB, on the other hand, is at the bottom of the rankings and every game seems to make it less probable that they will qualify for the playoffs.
