IPL 2024: Royal Challengers Bengaluru 1st innings highlights against SRH in Match 41

Supporters of the RCB were happy to see Rajat Patidar back at his best. The 30-year-old hit his fifth IPL fifty in the last three games, showing glimmers of his previous form with the bat.

Virat Kohli: fifty-seven runs in 37 balls

Throughout the IPL 2024 season, Virat Kohli, the former captain of the Royal Bengal Tigers, is the only hitter who has shown consistency. Before settling in to score his 53rd fifty of the tournament, the 35-year-old started off with his signature wristy strokes.

Rajat Patidar flayed the bowlers to all corners of the stadium to an enthusiastic audience in Hyderabad. Before Cameron Green and Virat Kohli came, Jaydev Unadkat, who is playing in his 100th IPL match, took the wicket.

In 15.4 overs, RCB scored 150 runs.

After Jaydev Unadkat trapped Virat Kohli for 51 with a slower bouncer, Abdul Samad, the RCB was dealt a severe blow. With two fours from Cameron Green against Pat Cummins, the score was over 150 with four overs remaining.

The Impact player, Swapnil Singh, reached the 200 mark on the first ball of the 19th over when he struck T Natarajan for a massive six. This was Bengaluru’s third 200+ total in a row for the current season.

When it came to bowling, SRH appeared to have lost the plot with the ball early on. But Unadkat’s outstanding performance (3/30 from 4 overs) allowed the home team to get back into the contest.
