Another game in the IPL 2024 season saw a 200-run threshold broken. After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Royal Challengers Bengaluru amassed 206/7 from their 20 overs.
The two top run scorers for the visitors were Virat Kohli (51) and Rajat Patidar (50). In the last stages of the innings, Cameron Green’s 37 runs off of 20 balls provided the much-needed boost. With statistics of 3/30 from four of his overs, Jaydev Unadkat was the most effective bowler for the SRH.
50 runs in 4.4 overs for Sunrisers Hyderabad
In this competition, the SRH batters were having problems for the first time. Karn Sharma caught Travis Head for one off Jacks. After that, Yash Dayal got rid of Abhishek Sharma for 31 runs. Subsequently, Aiden Markram was taken out for seven by Swapnil Singh.
Powerplay: Mandatory: 62/4, Overs 0.1 to 6.
In his first over, two sixes were hit at Swapnil Singh. During a free hit, Nitish Reddy delivered the first. Heinrich Klassen then smacked the left-arm spinner for a six, leaving the hosts reeling, and Cameron Green made a routine catch after that. Shahbaz Ahmed and Nitish Reddy were batting after the powerplay ended.
First Strategic time-out for Sunrisers Hyderabad (85/5 from 9 overs)
Challengers of the Royal Order Bengaluru bowlers consistently took wickets at regular intervals, overwhelming the SRH batsmen. Abdul Samad and Shahbaz Ahmed had to get the squad to a fighting total before making their last attack.
Sunrisers Hyderabad: eleven overs and a hundred runs
Once more, Karn Sharma’s dismissal of Abdul Samad for ten wickets stunned the SRH team. After Pat Cummins came to the wicket, the total passed 100 at the conclusion of 11 overs with two sixes from two balls. SRH still needed to score 103 runs from the remaining 9 overs at that point.
Second Strategic Time-Out for Sunrisers Hyderabad (132/7 from 15 overs)
Not one of the SRH batsmen was willing to put up a fight, with the exception of Pat Cummins, who smashed 31 runs off of just 15 balls. When the second time-out was called, the home team required 75 runs from 30 balls to be virtually eliminated from the game.

150 runs from 17.1 overs for Sunrisers Hyderabad
As he led his team above the 150-mark, Shahbaz Ahmed was the only player to muster opposition at the plate. On an unremarkable day with the bat in hand, a six from Lockie Ferguson was enough to give the SRH batting some credibility.
Sunrisers Hyderabad end of game: 171 for 8 from 20 overs
The SRH hitters concluded with 171 runs to lose the game by 35 runs, thus it was a quiet end to the contest. With some of the strokes their batters played today to give RCB a couple cheap wickets, the host team—who have been outstanding throughout the tournament thus far—would be dissatisfied. Even though they still have five games remaining, Royal Challengers Bengaluru aren’t grumbling because they will be enjoying their newfound confidence.
