A similar incident occurred at the 2023 ODI World Cup, when a single ticket for the India-Pakistan match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad was sold for as much as INR 57 lacs. The prices of tickets for the last game at the same location skyrocketed like everything on the illicit black market. Fans, on the other hand, were more than willing to shell out a substantial sum of money in order to see the spectacle from the stands.
