On Saturday, June 1, at Nassau County Stadium in the United States, the Indian squad will play a warm-up match against Bangladesh in preparation for the highly anticipated T20 World Cup 2024. After winning the toss, captain Rohit Sharma decided to bat first. India initially lost Sanju Samson, but prior to Rohit’s removal during the powerplay, he appeared to be in excellent shape. Suryakumar Yadav’s fast-paced innings and Rishabh Pant’s half-century helped India score above-par 182 runs.
Arshdeep Singh demolished Bangladesh’s top order in two straight overs as the team was chasing. The fourth over saw the introduction of Mohammed Siraj to the assault. Siraj mishandled the sixth delivery, allowing the ball to escape his grasp and land on the square leg. Siraj, however, removed Najmul Hossain Shanto by cannonballing the southpaw on the next delivery, which was referred to as the dead ball.

For the warm-up match, Virat Kohli is still out.
Virat Kohli arrived in the USA a day prior to the match; hence, he was not present. Before getting settled into a demanding cricket month, the famous Indian hitter was spending time with his family. Rohit joked that there was no special purpose to bat first against Bangladesh, indicating a deliberate attempt to gauge the strength of the team. India’s campaign will kick off on June 5, when they play Ireland.

“We’re going to bat.” Conditions appear to be a little difficult here, not sure why. The others are all available, and we’ll figure out how to employ them. Virat just came yesterday, so he will miss out. We just need to see how well we can adapt to these circumstances since our body clock has already adjusted because we arrived really early,” Rohit remarked at the toss.
