T20 World Cup 2024: Against South Africa, five Indian cricket players will compete in their first World Cup final

India and South Africa, who are both undefeated in the competition, will square off in the T20 World Cup 2024 final on June 29 in Barbados. It should be an interesting match. This game will be the first World Cup final appearance for a number of Indian players. Even though they have advanced to multiple finals in previous years, India has had difficulty winning the title. This match is considerably more important for both teams because it is South Africa’s first time participating in the finals.

The Men in Blue, who last appeared in the T20 World Cup final in 2014, have finally returned after a ten-year absence. It is made even more spectacular by the fact that it is a match between two players who have routinely performed well in ICC tournaments and are both eager to win.

A players’ first-ever appearance in a World Cup final:

1. Hardik Pandya

PTI06 29 2024 000461BFinally, Hardik Pandya will play in the ICC World Cup final. Despite playing a crucial role for the team for many years, he was injured and missed the 2023 ODI World Cup final. Pandya has already had an outstanding all-around performance in the 2024 T20 World Cup, with 139 runs and 8 wickets. Especially noteworthy was his perfect 50 against Bangladesh in a Super Eight match. A major turning point in Pandya’s career has been reached with this last outing.

2. Axar Patel

His batting prowess and vital overs have proved invaluable to India. One of the tournament’s highlights was Axar’s incredible one-handed catch against Australia in a game they had to win.

3. Rishabh Pant

R Times Aplluad 2024 06 06T180607.140During the T20 World Cup, Rishabh Pant made a spectacular comeback to international cricket. Both at bat and behind the stumps, the wicketkeeper-batter has been an integral part of India’s run to the championship. With a remarkable strike rate of 129.54, Pant has amassed 171 runs in just seven games. In this crucial competition, his invaluable services and deft glove work have restored his significance to the team. The 26-year-old played in his maiden World Cup final, which was against New Zealand in the 2021 World Test Championship final.

4. Shivam Dube

ShivamDubeAfter an outstanding IPL season in which he scored 396 runs in 14 games, Shivam Dube is making his debut in the T20 World Cup. He has scored 106 runs in 7 games during the World Cup, which is a strong showing. India has benefited greatly from Dube’s recent cameo outings, which have created late-inning momentum. He is a great asset to India’s World Cup campaign because of his power hitting, which gives the batting lineup more depth.

5. Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep SinghIndia’s success has been greatly attributed to Arshdeep Singh, who performs well with the new ball as well as in the dying overs. He’s second on the tournament’s wicket-takers tally with 15 wickets in seven games. He also travelled to Australia for the 2022 T20 World Cup with the Indian team. Arshdeep is about to compete in his first World Cup final.
