The Kerala Cricket League 2024 auction’s most costly purchase is M. Sajeevan Akhil

At the Kerala Cricket League’s first-ever auction, which took place in Thiruvananthapuram, M. Sajeevan Akhil placed the highest bid, and the Trivandrum Royals purchased him for INR 7.4 lakh. To far, the 33-year-old Ernakulam all-rounder has played in four Twenty20 matches.

Greenfield International Stadium will host the six-franchise T20 competition from September 2–19.

Speaking of legendary athletes, the following were pre-selected: Rohan S. Kunnammal (Calicut Globstars), Mohammad Azharuddin (Alleppey Ripples), Basil Thampi (Kochi Blue Tigers), Vishnu Vinod (Thrissur Titans),

P.A. Abdul Basit (Trivandrum Royals), and Sachin Baby (Kollam Sailors) M. Sajeevan Akhil.

Now that we’ve looked at the top 10 purchases made during the tournament—with the highest bid from earlier in the article already highlighted—Varun Nayanar of the Thrissur Titans came in second place with a bid of INR 7.2 lakh. During the auction, two players also made INR 7 lakh, INR 6.2 lakh, and INR 5 lakh, respectively. Ajnas M. & Krishna Prasad, Vinod Kumar C. V. & Akshay Chandran, and Manu Krishan & Salman Nizar are among the prominent names that demonstrate their worth in this fierce bidding battle.

The Chennai Super Kings have used right-arm medium pacer KM Asif in four of their games. The Kollam Sailors paid INR 5.2 lakh to acquire him.

The Thrissur Titans, Kochi Blue Tigers, Calicut Globstars, Alleppey Ripples, Trivandrum Royals, and Kollam Sailors are the six franchises scheduled to participate in the tournament’s first edition.
