"We've never spoken to Bangladeshi authorities. A new government runs there. I may contact them or they may contact us "Shah remarked.

We value the Bangladesh series greatly-Jay Shah

The secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Jay Shah, recently took the time to respond to a number of enquiries on the board’s future initiatives. The impending multi-format series between India and Bangladesh is one of the main things the men’s squad will be anticipating.

Three T20Is and two Test matches between the two teams will be brutal. On September 19, the first Test match will take place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Prior to the match, Jay Shah took the pitch and discussed the significance of the Bangladesh series for the Indian cricket team.

The new authorities in authority in Bangladesh, according to Jay Shah, have not spoken to him. If they do not get in touch with the BCCI, they will speak with him directly.

“We have not communicated with the authorities in Bangladesh.” There, a new administration has assumed power. I will reach out to them, or they may reach out to us. In a conversation with Times Group journalists at the TOI’s Mumbai office, Shah stated, “The Bangladesh series is very important to us.”

I don’t wish to convey any messages at all: Jay Shah

Jay Shah was also questioned regarding the potential for India to serve as the hosts of the Women’s T20 World Cup. Bangladesh will host the main event, which is scheduled to begin on October 3. It is possible, nevertheless, that India will host the event given the political upheaval in the nation. Speaking about it, Shah said he had no desire to be the event’s host. He believed it was inappropriate to imply that he wanted to host two World Cups in a row, since India will be hosting the Women’s ODI World Cup in 2025.

“They (ICC) have enquired as to whether we will organise the World Cup. I have stated unequivocally that no, we are in the midst of the monsoon and we will also be hosting the women’s ODI World Cup in the following year. Jay Shah stated, “I don’t want to make any kind of indications that I want to hold World Cups in succession.
