After the first round of the Duleep Trophy, selectors will choose the India team

On September 5, the much anticipated Duleep Trophy 2024 will begin with Round 1. In the top domestic tournament, four teams chosen by the senior selection committee will compete for the coveted prize. The players in the next competition are interested in more than just winning a crown, though. Following the conclusion of the Duleep Trophy’s first round.

Notably, a few matches will be held simultaneously in Bengaluru and Anantapur during the first round, which is scheduled to start on Thursday, September 5. When it comes to the Test team for the series against the Bangla Tigers, the first round will be crucial because it will probably determine the final 15-man selection.

The All India Men’s Senior Selection Committee, led by Ajit Agarkar, will select the team for the forthcoming Bangladesh series at home.

All of the captains are prepared, and some players will be attentively monitored. We’ll be keeping a close eye on a few intriguing uncapped players who are serious candidates for a national call-up. To mention a few, these names are Tanush Kotian, Ricky Bhui, Vidwath Kaverappa, Manav Suthar, and R Sai Kishore.

A week prior to the first game, the Indian side that plays Bangladesh will begin practise at the host MA Chidambaram Stadium. Three days later, the visiting team is scheduled to join them.
