Former cricketer Aakash Chopra predicted that Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman Ajinkya Rahane might experience some difficulties playing on the turning track at Chepauk prior to the match against the Delhi Capitals (DC). Notably, on May 10 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, CSK will square off against David Warner’s Delhi Capitals.
Rahane is enjoying a fantastic season as a shift in his batting strategy appears to have paid off. The right-hander has shown off his devastating hitting skills this season, accumulating 245 runs at a respectable average of 40.83 in just seven innings. Chopra, however, said that the 22-yard strip is anticipated to offer spin and added that Rahane, in particular, will be tested, but the rest of the CSK batting squad should not encounter too many issues.
“The Chepauk square contains some red soil-filled grounds on one side. Therefore, there are more runs scored. Those games, in my opinion, are over. They will no longer be allowed to play there. You’ll see a pitch that will increase in turn. The rest of the hitters won’t have any issues, but Ajinkya Rahane might,” he claimed on his YouTube account.

Chopra also emphasized the spin-friendly conditions by stating that the yellow team will undoubtedly field three spinners, namely Maheesh Theekshana, Ravindra Jadeja, and Moeen Ali. He believed that MS Dhoni and company benefit from playing at home.
“You will definitely see three spinners: Moeen Ali, Ravindra Jadeja, and Maheesh Theekshana. I believe all three of them will complete their required four overs of bowling. There are also left-handers in front, so Moeen Ali might bowl more frequently. Chennai has a minor advantage over the opponents because they are playing at home and particularly because they have four foreign hitters,” he continued.
