Aakash Chopra, who used to be an opener for India, thinks that Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter Virat Kohli couldn’t have done more to help his team make it to the IPL playoffs in 2023. Notably, RCB was kicked out of IPL 2023 after their final league-stage match, which they lost badly to the reigning champions, Gujarat Titans.
Virat Kohli had a great season as an individual. He scored 639 runs in 14 games, including six half-centuries and two back-to-back centuries in games that had to be won. He was, however, criticized a few times this season for how often he hit the ball.
Chopra, on the other hand, said that Virat Kohli success this season can’t be questioned because he got eight scores of 50 or more and two hundreds. He went on to say that Kohli’s best season since 2016 was 2023, and that the batsman did everything he could to help his team prepare.
“Virat Kohli got 8 scores of 50 or more and two centuries, and it was his best season since 2016.” Some people will still attack him, but I think Kohli did everything he could to help RCB win. He tried everything, but it wasn’t enough,” Chopra wrote on his YouTube account.
Faf du Plessis had an outstanding year. Aakash Chopra is a person from India.
The former batsman for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) also said that RCB captain Faf du Plessis had a great season. The 45-year-old said su Plessis did everything he could to help his team win the championship. Notably, the Proteas batter is currently at the top of the IPL 2023 Orange Cap list. He has scored 730 runs in 14 games, with an average of 56.15 and a strike rate of 153.68.
“Faf du Plessis’s season was outstanding. There were 730 runs and eight fifties, and none of the other six scores were low. He did everything he could to help his team win the championship. But it didn’t work out,” the former cricket player said.
