Abhinav Bindra, a former Olympic champion, has praised the BCCI for its assistance to Rishabh Pant during his difficult period, but he has also stated that the body needs to provide the India batsman with “psychological support.”
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Wednesday that star India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant is scheduled to “undergo surgery for ligament tears.” This will effectively keep him out of competitive cricket for an extended amount of time.
Rishabh Pant will receive extensive treatment in Mumbai for ligament damage in the knee and ankle that he acquired on December 30 as a result of a car accident that occurred in Dehradun. He was evacuated from a hospital in Dehradun to Mumbai for this purpose.
It’s wonderful that the board is concerned about Rishabh Pant health and well-being. Must also provide psychological support as a necessary component of the process of healing and getting better! Bindra sent up a tweet.
It is wonderful that the board is concerned about Rishabh’s health and well-being. As part of the process of healing and getting better, it is essential to provide psychological assistance, too.
The Abhinav Bindra Sports Medicine and Research Institute (ABSMARI) is located in Bhubaneswar and is run by the renowned shooter Abhinav Bindra, who won a historic gold medal in the men’s 10m air rifle competition at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Dinshaw Pardiwala, who is well-known in the field of sports orthopaedic surgery, would provide care for Pant, as was previously reported by PTI.
“He will be admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute and will be under the direct supervision of Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala,” Jay Shah, the secretary of the BCCI, said earlier in the day in a statement. “He will be under the direct supervision of Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, the Head – the Centre for Sports Medicine, and Director – Arthroscopy & Shoulder Service at the hospital.”
“In order to repair the ligament tears, Rishabh will have surgery and further operations, and the BCCI Medical Team will continue to follow him throughout his recuperation and rehabilitation,”
“The Board will make every effort to aid and speed the healing process of Rishabh and will offer him with all of the support he needs during this period,” he continued after saying this. “The Board will also provide him with all of the resources he needs during this period.”
