The eagerly anticipated India vs. Pakistan ODI World Cup 2023 match is scheduled to take place on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, and Pakistan’s speedster Shaheen Afridi has made it clear what his intentions are for the game by promising to only take selfies after picking up five wickets against India in the thrilling match.
The squad from Pakistan is in Ahmedabad right before the tense match. Everyone on the team was actively participating in fielding practice. According to RevSportz, when media and spectators tried to block him from taking a selfie as he was at the boundary line, he responded, “Zaroor selfie loonga, but five wicket lene ke baad (I will definitely take one, but only after I’ve claimed five wickets)”.
Shaheen Afridi was observed leaving the field after completing his bowling and fielding practice.

For fielding practice, ten players—Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan, Abdullah Shafique, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Hasan Ali—were paired up. The exercise was directed by fielding coach Aftab Khan, who gave the team a little stump to aim for. With each workout, the intensity increased, and the athletes’ friendship was obvious.
They encouraged one another when a throw at the stump missed its target while also congratulating each other on accurate throws. The long bowling practice with the spinners was the most interesting part of the training session. The bowling coach, Morne Morkel, led a practice session with Shadab Khan, Mohammed Nawaz, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Agha Salman that concentrated on perfecting a particular length.
Morkel kept a careful eye on the spinners’ work when he was positioned behind the stumps. At the 4-meter and 6-meter distances, they had two little mats set up with a red marker in the middle. The goal was to hone their abilities in a way that would successfully oppose the hot Indian batters.
