After their tall left-arm bowler Mohsin Khan sustained a calf strain that would keep him out of play indefinitely, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) signed great Indian all-rounder Shardul Thakur.
Mohsin was finally on track to recuperate for the 18th Indian Premier League (IPL) after missing the previous season owing to an ACL injury. However, he has now been sidelined from play once more due to a calf strain that occurred so close to the competition.
Shardul will now accompany the LSG team to Vizag for their season-opening matchup against the Delhi Capitals on March 24 after previously going unsold at the IPL Mega auction.
This season, LSG’s top Indian pacers have all been hurt or recuperating from injuries, making them extremely unlucky. Avesh Khan, Mayank Yadav, and Akash Deep are all recuperating from their injuries, so it’s unclear how fit they are right now.
The team’s coach, Zaheer Khan, stated that because of these injuries, the team’s condition will be “dynamic” this season and that they will decide on the squad as soon as players become available.
“Due to injuries, the situation is dynamic for some of our players,” Zaheer stated.
However, it’s time to find the good and take steps to resolve the issue amicably. While some players are with their physiotherapists, others are at the National Cricket Academy. It will not be appropriate to discuss this at this time. This season, things will be dynamic.
