The mega event, the IPL 2025, began with a mouthwatering match between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Kolkata Knight Riders. When RCB captain Rajat Patidar asked the hosts, Kolkata, to bat first, it first appeared like the move would backfire. However, the bowlers’ outstanding performance following the powerplay turned the tide in their favour.
When the fifth wicket fell in the fifteenth over, KKR was mostly depending on Andre Russell to make some exciting swings during the slog overs.
Suyash Sharma, the spinner, had other ideas, though, and lured Russell to go for the big one by showing him a gorgeous googly that was thrown at full length. To his dismay, Russell missed the delivery entirely, but on the fourth ball of the 16th over, he saw his stumps fully shaken.
