Anil Chaudhary, face of IPL, to officiate in Ranji Trophy final for record 5th time

The on-field umpire for the upcoming Ranji Trophy 2024–25 final will be Anil Chaudhary, a highly sought-after official in both the domestic and international circuits. It will be the seventh time Chaudhary has won the title in India’s top domestic red-ball competition, setting a new record. Chaudhary and JR Madangopal will serve as officiators.

An incredible 226 Indian Premier League games have been officiated by Anil Chaudhary in various roles, including match referee and umpire. To date, he has also officiated 90 First-Class games.

Vidarbha and Gujarat will square off in the 90th edition of the prestigious tournament’s final at Nagpur’s Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium. At the same location as the second semi-final, where Vidarbha defeated the reigning champions, Mumbai, by 80 runs, the summit match will take place.
