Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s declining form in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy has sparked much discussion among the cricket community. A number of former cricketers and experts have chimed in on the situation, as the two stalwarts have underperformed in the showpiece series’ three Tests thus far.
Amidst this, a recent social media article alleged that former India captain Anil Kumble critiqued the senior duo’s performance in the third Test in Brisbane.
Anil Kumble has, however, refuted the allegations, claiming that the remarks ascribed to him are untrue and contrived. He also advocated for prudence and vigilance in the face of misinformation.

Speaking of the Brisbane Test, India ended the fourth day of the third Test at 252/9, with Jasprit Bumrah (10* from 27) and Akash Deep (27* off 31) forming an important partnership for the 10th wicket to help the visitors avoid a follow-on and give the team a sliver of hope to draw the game.
