IPL 2025: Anirudh Ravichander to perform in Chepauk ahead of CSK vs MI clash

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) will play the second game of the Sunday doubleheader. Before the match between the two tournament’s fiercest rivals, there will be a special performance by famed composer and playback vocalist Anirudh Ravichander at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium.

Shah Rukh Khan was the highlight of the IPL’s glamorous opening ceremony, which took place at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on Saturday and included Bollywood performers Shreya Ghoshal and Disha Patani.

Anirudh Ravichander, a well-known CSK supporter, declared he would be performing prior to the match.

Videos that show him rehearsing at the location are making the rounds online. He is seen playing a song from one of his songs from the Rajnikant-starring action film “Jailer,” which is a Tamil hit.

This news has already generated a lot of excitement among the fans, who will be excited to watch not only MS Dhoni, who is most likely playing in his final season of the IPL, but also one of their favourite composers and artists, known for his work on songs like Vikram, Leo, and Jawan. Speaking about doubleheader games, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), last year’s finalists, and Rajasthan Royals (RR) will play the first game of the day, with the exception of the second match between the rivals stated above. The game will take place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, and although Pat Cummins will lead the SRH team once more, Riyan Parag will captain the Rajasthan Royals for the first three games while Sanju Samson is sidelined with a finger injury.
