The cricket community experienced many high-scoring thrillers with the debut of the IPL 2025. The modern-generation batters’ smooth stroke-making has completely changed the way T20 cricket is played, and social media has been in awe of it. But some fans are just as shallow and don’t like that there isn’t any competition between bat and ball, which has essentially made them stop watching the game.
Anupam Mittal, the serial entrepreneur, is a member of the later school of thought. The seasoned businessman has gained notoriety for his clever jokes and amusing comments on social media. When Mittal stated that he believes the bowlers should be replaced by bowling machines due to the intense boundary-hitting in the IPL, something similar came to light.
“No, 4 or 6 #IPL should just replace bowlers with bowling-machines,” Anupam said on his ‘X’ handle, which was once widely used as Twitter.

#IPL should just replace bowlers with bowling-machines

In support of Mittal, some said that even though adding bowling machines to a real cricket match might not be the best idea, they could still bring some sanity to the game because bowlers have practically become slaves to being hit for boundaries on nearly every delivery.
GT vs. PBKS: The bowlers have yet another nightmare
The Gujarat Titans vs. Punjab Kings match was a good illustration of how the hitters have dominated the match at their most comfortable level throughout the competition. Even losses are not one-sided because both teams have powerful hitters. The Titans sent the Kings to bat and they set up a massive total of 243 on the board. The home club was in the chase but only missed the target by 11 runs.
With stats of 3/30 in four overs, GT’s R Sai Kishore was the best bowler of the day, but no other bowler in the match bowled for less than nine runs per over. Over 450 runs were made during the entire encounter, but only 10 wickets could be taken.
