Arshad Khan dismissed Virat Kohli for a single-digit score for the first time in the current Indian Premier League season on Wednesday, April 2, during Match 14 between the Gujarat Titans (GT) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
At deep backward square leg, Arshad Khan fourth delivery, a short-of-a-length delivery that he shared with former RCB bowler Mohammed Siraj, was drawn straight to Prasidh Krishna.
Kohli appeared to be experiencing some cramping during the pull, which likely prevented him from effectively rolling his wrists to keep the shot on the ground.
Going into this match, there were high expectations for Kohli because of the way he had launched the 2025 Indian Premier League.
Prasidh pouched the simple opportunity in the deep, leaving the Chinnaswamy crowd in understandable startled silence. The first wicket for RCB was taken by Kohli.

Siraj struck to eliminate Devdutt Padikkal four deliveries later. Around off stump, a scorching oncoming good-length ball struck timber with the bat’s inner edge. After three delivery, the left-handed batter was out for four runs.
Phil Salt was the third wicket to fall. Once more, Siraj ruined the stumps. After the top-order English batter hit a massive 105-meter maximum, the right-arm speedster recovered brilliantly. With GT securely in control of the game, the hosts ended the powerplay on 38/3.
The Shubman Gill-led GT chose to field first after winning the toss earlier in the evening. Kagiso Rabada was absent for personal reasons, but the rest of the RCB team was the same as in their last match. Curiously, Rabada’s replacement was the first to remove the former captain of the RCB for a poor score.
