Star bowler Arshdeep Singh has reached a significant milestone in his brief career, taking 100 wickets in T20 internationals. The Madhya Pradesh native needed only 64 innings to surpass the total, becoming him the fastest bowler from a full-member nation to do so. The previous record was held by Pakistan’s Haris Rauf, who took 71 matches to reach the three-digit mark. Arshdeep is the first and only Indian bowler to have taken at least 100 wickets in international cricket’s shortest format.
The left-arm bowler reached a historic milestone in Match No. 12 of the ongoing Asia Cup 2025, when India met Oman at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. In his maiden encounter in the tournament, Arshdeep defeated wicketkeeper-batter Vinayak Shukla, his lone scalp of the match, as the Men in Blue triumphed by a comfortable 21 runs. Arshdeep bowled four overs for 37 runs on Friday as India defended their 189-run first-innings mark.
