In the IPL 2025, Ashutosh Sharma helped the Delhi Capitals score 133/7 on the board at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad thanks to a brilliant knock against Sunrisers Hyderabad. In addition to preventing his team from collapsing further, the right-handed batter led them to a respectable total before the game was cut short due to rain.
Early in the innings, DC collapsed badly after being asked to bat first. As he took the new ball and destroyed DC’s batting order, Pat Cummins was on fire. In the Powerplay overs, the SRH captain put DC under tremendous pressure by dismissing Karun Nair, Faf du Plessis, and Abishek Porel.

Jaydev Unadkat, Eshan Malinga, Harshal Patel, and others maintained the pressure and advanced further into DC’s innings. DC was consequently reduced to 62/6 after 12.1 overs. Ashutosh Sharma then moved into the centre. Tristan Stubbs was the innings’ pillar, and the right-handed batter was the aggressor.
The combination of Ashutosh Sharma and Tristan Stubbs aids DC in defeating SRH by 133/7.
To improve DC’s seemingly pointless innings, the star hitter launched his attack and skilfully handled Zeeshan Ansari’s spin bowling. Sharma scored a lot of runs down the ground and hit the V effectively. He performed just as well against pacers and spinners. Stubbs was able to spend some time at the opposite end.
Ashutosh and Stubbs remained together till almost the finish of DC’s innings. The seventh-wicket partnership helped DC surpass the 120-run threshold, as they were 62/6 after 12.1 overs. The main cause of DC surpassing the three-figure barrier was the pair’s 66 runs in 7.3 overs.
The majority of the runs in their partnership were scored by Ashutosh. Sharma’s innings was crucial in getting DC rolling, even though Stubbs was responsible for the uplift of the innings. The rising batsman amassed 41 runs in 26 innings while he was in the middle, including three sixes and two fours. He knocked with a 157.69 strike rate.
