Seasoned match referees Richie Richardson and Andy Pycroft will lead the match officials’ team at the Asia Cup 2025, which opens on Tuesday, September 9 with a Group B match between Afghanistan and Hong Kong China at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
The Asian Cricket Council has revealed the match officials for the 12-match group stage, which runs from September 9 to September 19. The match officials list for the Super Four and tournament final will be released later.
The umpires set to officiate the tournament include Ahmad Pakteen (Afghanistan), Asif Yaqoob (Pakistan), Faisal Afridi (Pakistan), Gazi Sohel (Bangladesh), Izatullah Safi (Afghanistan), Masudur Rahman (Bangladesh), Raveendra Wimalasiri (Sri Lanka), Rohan Pandit (India), Ruchira Palliyaguruge (Sri Lanka) and Virender Sharma (India).
