The top cricket teams in the world are preparing for the 2025 Champions Trophy, which is the most recent iteration. India’s matches are being played outside of Pakistan, and the fans have been eagerly awaiting yet another outstanding campaign for the main event.
Alex Carey, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, and numerous other top players are part of the preliminary squad, which will be led by Pat Cummins. In order to win another ICC championship, the ODI World Cup 2023 champions will be hoping for another outstanding season.
After the Test series against Sri Lanka, the 15-man team will reassemble and practise there before facing them in an ODI. Head of selectors George Bailey took the stage when discussing the squad announcement, acknowledging how well-rounded and efficient the preliminary team appeared.
With the core having played in the most recent Pakistan home series, the West Indies series, the previous one-day World Cup, and the successful UK trip last year, this is a well-rounded and seasoned team. According to objections and potential situations in Pakistan, it provides a range of choices for managing tours,” Bailey said the reporters.

Previous to the Champions Trophy, Australia advanced to the WTC final.
As for Australia, they just defeated Team India in a spectacular Border-Gavaskar Trophy match. Interestingly, despite losing the opening Test match in Perth, Australia went on to win in Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney, secure the trophy, and secure their place in the WTC final. On the other hand, they intend to concentrate on the shorter formats and aim to perform well in the forthcoming Champions Trophy.
