[WATCH] ‘I’m lucky to get a chance with CSK’- Ayush Mhatre excited to experience IPL

The injured captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was replaced by Ayush Mhatre for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). At the Wankhede Stadium, the young Mumbai batter has arrived for training. On April 20, the five-time champions will play their bitterest rivals, the Mumbai Indians, in the rematch. In a notable matchup this season, CSK defeated the Mumbai Indians at home.

Mhatre, a 17-year-old who has made an impression with his domestic cricket skills, said he is thrilled to be playing in the IPL and for CSK. In a video that the team posted, he talked about his emotions before what would be his first IPL match at his home stadium, Wankhede Stadium. He also asked the supporters to support the squad.

Playing in the IPL for the first time, I’m feeling fantastic. Furthermore, I feel really fortunate to be playing for a team like CSK. It’s also great that my first game will take place at Wankhede Stadium, which is his home field. CSK’s handle on X (previously Twitter) uploaded a video in which Mhatre stated, “Every time I travel in Mumbai, I keep remembering the things, and now I am playing at such a big stage, which is very fortunate for me.”

“My name is Ayush Mhatre, and I ask that you and all Chennai Super Kings and Yellow Army supporters continue to support us. We won’t let you down, we promise,” the little hitter continued.
