The CSK batter piqued internet users’ curiosity about what happened between the two by posting on social media about his meeting with Tendulkar.
The 18th edition of the league was temporarily suspended, and all of the players were sent home. After having the opportunity to meet Tendulkar, Mumbai native Mhatre posted on social media to share how happy he was to meet him. The post received a lot of attention, and many people wanted to know what Mhatre thought about the World Cup winner from 2011.

Ahead of the match between CSK and RR, the five-time winners’ official social media handle posted a video in which they enquired as to what Tendulkar had said to him. “What did the ‘God’ Sachin bhai say?” was the query posed to the CSK opener, who has been outstanding in IPL 2025.
Mhatre claimed it was something he couldn’t describe, and that the renowned batter told him to play his game and be himself.
“I am unable to convey my feelings. But he merely encouraged me to ‘play your game and just be yourself’,” Mhatre stated in a video shared by CSK’s official account.
The right-handed batter has been outstanding in the 18th season of the league. The young batsman has scored 163 runs in five innings at an average of 32.60 and a strike rate of 181.11, with a top performance of 94 against archrivals Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their own backyard.
