The Canada Super 60 is happy to announce that legendary BC Place will serve as the official venue for the first-ever editions of its men’s and women’s competitions, marking a significant milestone for North American cricket.
This news is a significant milestone for the Canada Super 60, as it secures one of the country’s most iconic and cutting-edge stadiums as its launchpad. BC Place, located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, is more than just a stadium; it is a symbol of Canadian athletic tradition and hosts some of the most prestigious worldwide events, including the upcoming FIFA World Cup 26.
BC Place has hosted major global athletic events over the last four decades, including the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2015, the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and ten Grey Cup Championships. BC Place, with its retractable roof, world-class infrastructure, and multi-sport adaptability, will now be transformed into an all-weather cricket stadium, making it the world’s first indoor venue to hold a 10-over-a-side competition.
“BC Place is not just a stadium; it’s a theatre of dreams,” said Yuvraj Singh, a global cricket icon and Canada Super 60 strategic partner. “As a sportsperson, you are greatly motivated by the majesty of where you play—and for our players, men and women alike, there couldn’t be a greater place to begin this adventure. Vancouver is a city that values nature, variety, and culture, and cricket on the West Coast will attract a whole new fan base.”
Since its establishment, the Canada Super 60 has been the first global-format cricket league to include both men’s and women’s 10-over-a-side competitions, with the goal of redefining competitive cricket in Canada and laying the groundwork for the sport’s growth in North America.
“We feel incredibly proud to introduce BC Place to the world of cricket,” said Cricket Canada President Amjad Bajwa. “We fully applaud the Super 60 crew for making this happen. This cooperation demonstrates our commitment to spreading cricket across the country and providing world-class chances for Canadian players, particularly as we prepare for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2026.”
“We are beyond excited to welcome cricket to BC Place,” said Chris May, General Manager of BC Place.
“Hosting the Canada Super 60 is an incredible opportunity to highlight the world’s second most popular sport right here in our wonderful city. As a multi-sport and multi-purpose facility, we are constantly seeking for new and exciting events that reflect the diversity of our province. This is an important step towards establishing a more inclusive and representative sports landscape in British Columbia.”
The official tournament dates and ticketing information for the Canada Super 60 will be announced shortly. With cricket being one of the fastest-growing sports in North America, the event promises not only thrilling matches but also a transformational cultural and sporting experience in Vancouver.
