Reports: BCCI office to host IPL captains’ meeting on March 20

On Thursday, March 20, the leaders of the ten teams that will compete in the next Indian Premier League are expected to report at the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s headquarters. The managers of each of the ten teams have been invited to attend in addition to the captains.

The IPL and BCCI management emailed the franchisees with the briefing.

The meeting will start at midday, according to a report. It is believed that the briefing at the Cricket Centre will run for an hour. It has been stated that educating the team representatives about the new additions and adjustments with IPL 2025 is the main goal of the meeting. Following the one-hour briefing, sponsor activities are reportedly planned at the Taj Hotel.

The event is believed to last four hours in total. A client photo shoot featuring every skipper in one shot will be the event’s finale. These kinds of pre-tournament customs typically occur in the same city as the season-opening event. This time, though, there appears to be a change from the norm.

The leaders of the other franchises were well-known, with the exception of Axar Patel, who was just appointed captain of the Delhi Capitals. The captains of the opposing teams are Shubman Gill (Gujarat Titans), Ajinkya Rahane (Kolkata Knight Riders), Sanju Samson (Rajasthan Royals), Pat Cummins (Sunrisers Hyderabad), Rajat Patidar (Royal Challengers Bengaluru), Rishabh Pant (Lucknow Super Giants), Shreyas Iyer (Punjab Kings), Hardik Pandya (Mumbai Indians), and Ruturaj Gaikwad (Chennai Super Kings).

According to the most recent reports from different camps, in addition to the players, the majority of captains have reported to their respective sides.
