Regarding South Africa’s future tasks, the team played in two World Cup warm-up matches after traveling to India for the competition. Rain forced the cancellation of their first exhibition match against Afghanistan before a ball was even played.
They played New Zealand in their second game, losing by a score of 7 runs. After the exhibition matches are over, South Africa will get ready to start the ODI World Cup. On Saturday, October 7, they face Sri Lanka in the fourth match of the competition to start their campaign.
It is important to note that both teams will compete at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. South Africa will be motivated to perform better after losing to New Zealand, so it will be intriguing to see if they can start their campaign off right with a victory.
