At the rain-affected M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Royal Challengers Bengaluru wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma made a spectacular catch to dismiss Shreyas Iyer in the 34th IPL 2025 match between RCB and PBKS. As it slipped out of their hands, Jitesh made a spectacular grab to help his team stay in the game.
Iyer and Josh Inglis led the chase after Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya got off to a respectable start. Rajat Patidar brought Josh Hazlewood back into the attack to secure the crucial wickets. The Australian spinner restored RCB’s chances by dismissing the dangerous right-handed batsman, and his captain was not disappointed.
Because of its dampness, the surface gave Hazlewood a little extra bounce and let him to operate on his typical shorter length. The PBKS captain attempted a cut shot after being caught off guard by the bounce. He edged the ball in the process, sending it hurtling in the direction of the goalie. Jitesh made a spectacular catch by leaping with all of his strength and grabbing the ball.

We’ve been dropping wickets at random: Patidar
RCB captain Rajat Patidar evaluated his team’s performance following the game. This season, RCB has now suffered three home defeats. The captain highlighted the value of partnerships and the need to avoid losing wickets frequently.
“It was two-paced and stuck at first. But as a batting team, I believe we might have performed much better. Forming partnerships is crucial when batting. Periodically, we have been losing wickets. Padikkal was excluded because of the circumstances. Wicket wasn’t all that horrible. It remained hidden for a while. Punjab benefited, and they deserve praise for the way they bowled. It’s going pretty nicely for the bowling unit. Our bowling unit is a source of confidence. It clicks occasionally and doesn’t other times. “We’ll start by examining the batting unit,” Patidar stated.
