India’s turnaround in Test cricket over the past ten years can been attributed to Virat Kohli, according to veteran bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The Indian bowler, who has been dominating IPL 2025 with the ball, asserted that Kohli was the driving force behind India’s fast-bowling revolution in red-ball cricket. Bhuvneshwar referred to Kohli’s winning mentality as “special.”
After a philosophical change in perspective over the past five years, the right-arm pacer said he no longer sets particular targets. He prefers to focus on one game at a time and doesn’t give his comeback to the national team much thought, Kumar continued. He underlined how crucial it is to remain present and concentrate on assisting RCB in winning the IPL 2025 title.
“The fast-bowling revolution and Team India’s makeover in Test cricket are entirely Virat Kohli’s fault. Instead of just following the crowd, he introduced the idea that you can win everywhere. Virat has a really unique perspective, Bhuvneshwar stated in a video that the RCB’s official social media account shared.

“I have no regrets,” Bhuvneshwar Kumar said of his career marred by injuries.
When Bhuvneshwar Kumar reflected on his strategy in previous years, he revealed that he sticks to going “match by match, tour by tour, or whatever” rather than establishing long-term goals. According to him, this way of thinking has enabled him to stay focused and give every tournament his all.
Bhuvneshwar also talked candidly about his career’s string of ailments, which have particularly affected him during important competitions. While acknowledging that these times can be difficult, he emphasised that he had no regrets.
“When you get hurt on a stage this large, you realise that it’s a part of the game, but sometimes it’s really hard to tell yourself why it happened at that specific moment. Therefore, it was difficult, of course. And I have no regrets, that’s all. All I have to say is that,” Bhuvneshwar said.
