Rajat Patidar, the captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), has been praised by Bhuvneshwar Kumar for remaining composed in the face of being in charge of an IPL team, especially the one with the biggest fan following and, of course, the most observers.
Since being hired by RCB and named captain prior to the current season, Rajat Patidar has guided the team to four victories in six games, all of which have been away from home.
He’s done a great job. The best thing is that he has been composed,” Bhuvneshwar stated prior to the April 18 match between the RCB and the Punjab Kings. That was exactly what he required, particularly in this style. Because panicking is a simple way to react when you lose a match. Additionally, he has [not] done that. We have lost two games, but he has remained the same whether we have won or lost. He’s been doing a great job managing things. He’s been excellent with the bowling adjustments and everything else.
With the Punjab Kings having the same tournament win-loss record and being separated only by net run rate, the experienced pacer disclosed that the squad had prepared in the customary manner and had not used any unique tactics. Our preparation is the same as it always is. What we do for any opposition on whatever basis will be the same,” he declared.
Additionally, Bhuvneshwar admitted that the Chinnaswamy Stadium is no longer a bowlers’ cemetery, since the hitters are having trouble scoring runs in 2025. We are aware that Chinnaswamy is a famous batsman, but if you look at the pitch, it has changed. For whatever reason, we will examine the first few overs, observe how the wicket behaves, and then adjust our strategy appropriately, regardless of whether we bowl or bat first.”
“The role cannot be defined before the match,” Bhuvneshwar responded when asked about his and Josh Hazlewood’s roles in the bowling attack. When it comes to our bowling, Hazlewood and I often bowl in the end and with the new ball. We play a fairly regular role, but it varies considerably from game to game. The way we bowl in the opening overs, the team’s batting performance, and other factors all play a role. We both want to take wickets and help the team, though, as seasoned bowlers.
