Irfan Pathan, a former cricketer for India, has hailed Cameron Green, an all-around player for the Mumbai Indians (MI). After a sluggish start to the current season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Australian has been essential for the Mumbai team. In MI’s seven games, he has scored 199 runs at an average of 49.75. Additionally, he has taken five wickets this season for the five-time IPL champions.
Pathan claims that Green has filled the hole left in the Rohit Sharma-led team by all-rounders Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard. For MI, Pandya and Pollard played crucial parts in their championship-winning campaigns over the years.
Notably, Hardik was released prior to the IPL season in 2022 and eventually rose to the position of captain for Gujarat Titans (GT). Prior to the Kochi mini-auction in December 2022, Pollard, who is currently Mumbai’s batting coach this season, announced his retirement from the IPL.
