On Tuesday, December 24, the International Cricket Council (ICC) revealed the schedule for the 2025 ICC Men’s Champions Trophy, which will be played in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates from February 19 to March 9.
For the first time since the last edition in 2017, the 15-match, eight-team competition is back on the cricket calendar. The UAE has been confirmed as the neutral venue, and defending champions Pakistan will host their first international cricket tournament since 1996.
In the exciting 19-day tournament, where every game matters in the pursuit of the coveted Champions Trophy white jackets, Bangladesh, India, New Zealand, and Pakistan will form Group A, while Afghanistan, Australia, England, and South Africa will form Group B.
The matches in Pakistan will be held at stadiums in Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi, while the matches in the United Arab Emirates will be held in Dubai. Fans are urged to express interest in tickets online prior to the initial sale.
The Champions Trophy starts on February 19, the first day of the competition, in Karachi, with hosts Pakistan playing New Zealand. Afghanistan vs. South Africa on February 21 in Karachi and Bangladesh vs. India on the second day of the competition in Dubai are two other important matches.
One of cricket’s most renowned rivalries will take place in Lahore on February 22 between Australia and England, followed by the highly anticipated Pakistan vs. India match in Dubai on February 23.
With the first semi-final set for March 4 in Dubai and the second semi-final set for March 5 in Lahore, the exciting event highlights the best of cricket in a single, huge day out. If India advances to the final, it will take place in Dubai, where the winning team will receive the renowned white jackets. The final is scheduled to take place in Lahore on March 9. The final and the semifinals will both have reserve days.

The ICC headquarters are located in Dubai, therefore this edition, which will be held in Pakistan and the UAE, offers a chance to highlight cricket’s greatest traditions while incorporating new elements.
