The world of cricket came together when Prime Minister Christopher Luxon of New Zealand was spotted playing the game with former India great Kapil Dev and a few other New Zealand cricket players on the streets of India. In front of the luminaries, the prime minister was eager to put his abilities to the test.
In addition to meeting the 1983 World Cup champion, the New Zealand Prime Minister took renowned Kiwi batsman Ross Taylor and top spinner Ajaz Patel to play street cricket with him when he landed in India.
Cricket players were taken aback by Christopher Luxon prowess, as evidenced by his ability to play some explosive shots and make catches.
Three cricketing greats were complimenting him on his strength and skill. Luxon also shared on social media how much he enjoyed playing the game with the legends and some active children.
Luxon wrote on Instagram, “Working hard in India to hit it out of the park for Kiwis,” in reference to the Street Cricket match featuring the luminaries.

With more than 18,000 runs in the format, Ross Taylor remains one of New Zealand’s leading run scorers in international cricket, while considering the accomplishments of the other two cricketing greats besides Kapil. Additionally, it is only known that Ajaz Patel is the third player in international cricket history to take ten wickets in an innings. In the series against India, Patel took 15 wickets, the most of any Kiwi. He has taken 85 wickets in 21 Test matches.
One of the most memorable series for the BlackCaps, who defeated the Indian team at home after a 17-year absence. In the most recent encounter at Wankhede Stadium, Patel was named player of the match as well. He claimed 11 wickets, with first-inning statistics of 5/103 and second-inning figures of 6/57.
